**MULTI-DUNGEON GAME**

This game originated on Solarium BBS in 1990, though it has been continually run on the [[https://sdf.org|SDF Public Access UNIX System from 1991]] to the present.

**GAME PLAY**

[[mdg]] is a lot like a cross between [[nethack]] and [[adventure]].  It uses [[VI keys]] to navigate the map with some additional commands.  It is a multi-player game where players can play independently (pvp) or cooperatively to explore the map, slay monsters and collect treasure.  There is a magic aspect to it by collecting Power Crystals from dragons.  In addition to mana which is used for casting spells, Power Crystals allow a player to modify the map.
